Five things to see and do this January from Brand and Culture Expert Nick Ede.
Thankfully we have passed the dreaded most depressing Monday of the year and it’s time to think of brighter things and do more as the days start to get just that little bit longer.
It’s about time to think of booking your holidays and there is a brand new website called Book Your Hotels that is the perfect way to get the best deals and also the best-looking destinations too. There is everything from Wiki-Woo in Ibiza to destinations like Dubai to choose from and it’s a really fabulous site to use and book with.
Veganuary is still upon us and for those of us who have decided to ditch the meat for some vegan fair then although the London Pop Up for Vegan Fried Chicken has closed you can still buy it to have at home. VEGAN FRIED CHICK*N just got even tastier with a mouth-watering NEW recipe, NEW Spicy Fillets and NEW Crispy Tenders!
Guaranteed to make your Saturday night sizzle, NEW VFC Spicy Chick*n Fillets will get your tastebuds tingling with a habanero chilli-infused crunchy coating – for a banging burger bite or game-changing wraps and tacos.
This even more delicious range is here to deliver the same flavour, enjoyment and eating experience as southern fried chicken, in a plant-based, sustainable recipe that doesn’t cost a wing and a leg and is available online or in all good supermarkets.
If you are looking for some fabulous vocals then look no further than The Other Palace – Singer, actress and comedienne Liza Pulman will bring her acclaimed tour de force The Heart of It to The Other Palace in 2023, with performances on Monday 23 and Monday 30 January.
The Heart of It features songs from Liza’s new album and from her shows Liza Pulman Sings Streisand and The Songs of Hollywood.
In the company of her brilliant six-piece band, led by acclaimed musical director Joseph Atkins, Liza celebrates some of the world’s most loved singers and composers including Streisand, Fats Waller, Marvin Hamlisch, Neil Diamond, Irving Berlin, Randy Newman, Michel Legrand, Judy Collins, Charlie Chaplin and many more.
Liza’s funny, intelligent and emotional connection to a lyric and a melody goes straight to the heart of every song she sings.
I love Cirque Du Soleil and this year there is a whole new show at the Royal Albert Hall starting in January. It’s called Kurios Step into the curio cabinet of an ambitious inventor who defies the laws of time, space and dimension in order to reinvent everything around him. Suddenly, the visible becomes invisible, perspectives are transformed, and the world is literally turned upside down. In an alternate yet familiar past, in a place where wonders abound for those who trust their imagination, a Seeker discovers that in order to glimpse the marvels that lie just below the surface, we must first learn to close our eyes. I cannot wait to experience this thrill ride of a show which is on until March 5th.
Everyone wants to go to get fit for the Spring and Summer and I am no exception. I am looking forward to working out and have discovered the Six Pack Revolution which is an online fitness plan powered by its incredible users. Everyone who completes the 75-day fitness journey looks insane and you get all the details on diet and exercise online with dedicated trainers. There is a new wave in March and I started this month I cannot wait to show the results.
