Culture and Brand expert Nick Ede’s 5 things to try before the end of January.
If you are like me and feel this month has been dragging on then don’t worry we only have a few more days to go and lots of things to look forward to but in the meantime here are my things that you can do prior to Feb.
Have a Juice
I love juice and the guys at Juiced and Squeezed have the best fresh drinks delivered straight to your door so there is no excuse not to have your five a day. The delicious cold-pressed juices use a hydraulic press to extract the juice from a variety of fruits and vegetables. This method keeps more vitamins and minerals resulting in a healthier you! The Ginger Shots really give you a spring in your step!
Donate our instruments
The iconic Ronnie Scott’s will be opening its doors again for the annual all-day Musical Instrument Amnesty on 28th January. Collecting the city’s disused instruments, all musical instruments can be donated, and the more the better!
Those donating will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with stars and celebrities that have graced the Ronnie’s stage, learn more about the project, and the impact their donation will make. Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation has partnered with charities Music For All and Sistema England, to ensure that instruments donated find the best new homes across the UK and overseas with limited access to musical education.
A highlight from previous years includes a white violin donated by Sam Smith from their iconic 2015 Brit performance of ‘Lay Me Down’.
Walk your dog
The end of January signifies the end of Walk Your Dog month – an initiative encouraging more people to explore their local area with their best friend.
Uber Boat by Thames Clippers (uberboatbythamesclipper.com) is leading the way this Walk Your Dog! month by ferrying you and your furry friends to London’s p-awesome riverside parks.

Not only is the park incredibly dog-friendly, but so is the Pear Tree Café, making it the perfect place to pop for a spot of lunch.

One of London’s largest Royal Parks, Greenwich Park offers a wide range of facilities and is another dog-friendly paradise! Want your Frenchie to collar a canine companion? Well, if you have a French Bulldog, there is a meetup by the Observatory at 10 am on the last Sunday of every month. You’ll be sure to have a ball!
