Join Viva! and friends for a groundbreaking celebration of Viva!’s 30th Anniversary with a powerful TRILOGY OF TALKS…. featuring three trailblazers of the vegan movement: a leading campaigner, a pioneering business entrepreneur, and a visionary rewilding advocate.
This inspiring event will take place on Sunday, 20 October 2024, at the Greenwood Theatre, London.

Juliet Gellatley – “David vs Goliath: The Vegan Movement Taking on the Meat Industry”
Juliet Gellatley, founder and director of Viva! UK, Viva! Poland, and Viva! Uganda, will provide an eye-opening insight into the UK’s vegan movement and the tactics used by the trillion-dollar meat industry. Her talk promises to be both inspirational and energizing, offering a unique perspective on the challenges and successes of vegan activism.
Heather Mills – “Heather Bites Back”
Heather Mills, renowned vegan business entrepreneur and Patron of Viva!, will share her remarkable journey and discuss how she’s empowering vegan entrepreneurs to thrive. As the owner of VBites and Alternative Stores, Heather’s story is one of resilience and innovation, offering practical advice and inspiration for those looking to make a difference in the vegan business world.
Randal Plunkett, Lord Dunsany – “The Magic of V-Wilding”
Randal Plunkett, Lord Dunsany, will delve into the incredible transformation of the Dunsany estate through vegan rewilding. As a member of one of Ireland’s oldest families, Randal has turned his historic estate into a beacon of environmental restoration. He will discuss the importance of vegan rewilding, nature’s adaptability, and offer a critical view on the concept of ‘regenerative grazing’, which he sees as a rebranding of outdated practices. His work is now the focus of a major documentary, highlighting the impact of “V-Wilding.”
Viva!’s Founder Juliet says:
When I launched Viva! 30 years ago from my garage in Cheshire, I couldn’t have known it would become the powerhouse the charity is now! With wonderful supporters and exciting events this year to celebrate. I am proud we have changed lives – and saved lives. However, our work will not stop until we have a vegan planet.
I’m delighted to be speaking about the tricks and deceit of a panicked meat industry; along with inspirational vegan innovators, Heather and Randal. It will be a not-to-be-missed event.”
The TRILOGY OF TALKS event will include breaks between speakers and a Q & A session, giving attendees the chance to engage directly with these influential figures. Viva! will also have stalls on site, offering information on key campaigns, merchandise, and copies of our latest cookbook, Everyone Can Cook Vegan.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate veganism and plant-based living with some of the movement’s most pioneering voices!

More about Viva!
Viva! is the UK’s leading vegan campaigning charity, specialising in undercover investigations and high-profile animal campaigns. Founded in 1994 by Juliet Gellatley, we have spent 30 years creating a kinder, more sustainable world for humans and animals alike.
Their work is split into four sections
Viva! Animals launches dynamic campaigns to uncover the truth about factory farming – an atrocious industry which has taken over meat, dairy and egg production.
Most animals spend their short lives in misery, imprisoned in squalor and exploited for human use. Their endless suffering is kept out of sight behind closed doors and so it falls to Viva! to reveal the reality.
We expose the conditions on factory farms to show the public how animals really live and urge them to choose vegan.”
Viva! Planet highlights how livestock farming is destroying our planet. Animal agriculture lies at the heart of every environmental catastrophe from climate crisis to wildlife loss.
We present the latest scientific research on the issues and the solutions.
Our campaigns, such as our award-winning Eating the Earth campaign and our exciting 50by25 initiative encourage people to move towards a kinder more sustainable diet, by choosing vegan.”
Viva! Health is on-hand to support people on their journey into veganism. Their experts make the latest scientific research accessible for everyone, creating easy-to-read factsheets and combating misinformation about nutrition and health.
Our Balanced Vegan page and Vegan Eatwell Plate show what you need to stay healthy. Head to our A-Z of Nutrients to answer all your questions on nutrients. Our campaigns – from diabetes to zoonotic diseases – explain why a vegan diet protects against disease and can help you live a long, healthy and happy life.”
Viva! Lifestyle shows how positive and easy it is to go vegan. From their Vegan Recipe Club, V7 and V30 Challenges – packed with delicious tried and tested recipes – to the Viva! Shop which offers vegan food, fashion and their very own cookery book, it has everything you need.
We also produce a wide array of materials to help people go vegan – sending out thousands of Vegan Super Packs, guides and leaflets. We also talk to people directly with our many friendly street actions giving our free delicious vegan sausage rolls, milkshakes and ice-cream.”
