Nicole Baroudi is carving a distinct creative path in the world of filmmaking, blending her sharp graphic design sensibility with a growing reputation as an imaginative production designer. What began as a career grounded in visual communication has evolved into a multidisciplinary practice that brings worlds to life on screen. During her graphic design studies, Baroudi gravitated toward narrative storytelling, exploring how visual systems shape emotion, meaning, and rhythm on screen. It was during this time that she discovered the power of design within the moving image—how world-building becomes immersive through detail, atmosphere, and close collaboration between artists and filmmakers. Determined to merge her love of design with her passion for cinema, she moved to Hollywood to study Production Design at the American Film Institute Conservatory, one of the world’s most respected film schools. It was at AFI that she refined her craft, immersed herself in collaborative filmmaking, and officially began her career in the industry.

Baroudi’s work has already reached global audiences. Projects she has designed for, such as the grounded coming-of-age “You & Me (& Chaz & Rodney)”, have screened at prestigious international festivals, including the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival in England, the Academy Award–qualifying San Jose International Short Film Festival, and SCAD Savannah Film Festival, among several others.

Now a proud member of the Art Directors Guild (Local 800) as a Graphic Designer, as well as the British Film Designers Guild and the Graphics Union UK, Baroudi has quickly become known for her ability to build cohesive visual languages that serve the heart of a story. To date, Baroudi has production designed over 12 short films, each one an opportunity to refine her storytelling voice and visual sensitivity. In parallel, she has contributed her graphic design expertise to more than 20 films, including five feature films, crafting everything from hero props and signage to the subtle graphic elements that give a world its authenticity. Whether creating intricate prop graphics or shaping the overall look and feel of a film, she approaches each project with the same clarity: every detail matters.

With a growing slate of short films and features on the horizon, Nicole Baroudi is part of a new generation of designers pushing the boundaries of film world-building. Her multidisciplinary background continues to be her signature strength—and one that is making her an exciting creative voice to watch. She has built a career defined not by spectacle, but by intention with a commitment to detail, collaboration, and the quiet power of visual cohesion. As she continues to design new films and contribute her graphic work to features across the UK and US, Baroudi remains driven by the same curiosity that first led her from graphic design studios to film sets: the belief that thoughtful design is not merely decoration, but an essential language of storytelling.
