A revolutionary personalised nutrition digital platform has been developed by health tech innovators Foodhak – utilising artificial intelligence to help improve users’ diets and fight disease.
The AI trailblazers are redefining the art of eating intelligently and tastefully to boost health with a state-of-the-art, non-invasive bespoke app, the first of its kind.
Developers identified that current food options are rarely personalised and ignore crucial health and nutritional factors in favour of cost and taste, thus exacerbating risks of chronic disease and poorer health.
The hyper-personal application tailors accessible and affordable recipes and meal plans faithful to Foodhak’s mantra of “Food as medicine”.
The company has developed proprietary data pipelines which output hyper-specialised health research data sets from millions of academic sources to design well-being foods and plans which can target specific illnesses and deficiencies.
The dynamic, patent pending technology utilises evolving data and feedback from users to constantly refine recommendations and enhance eating patterns.
The app and range of super-healthy functional snacks are the brainchild of entrepreneur and mother-of-two Sakshi Chhabra Mittal, who developed the concept after transforming her own diet following a serious health diagnosis.

Sakshi said:
“Our proprietary clinical model is built on millions of clinical research papers and recipes to intelligently answer: “What should I eat today?
“The physical ecosystem of users is linked to the digital platform and we use this tool for building food products to surround them with better food choices. The phone app is like having your very own nutritionist in your pocket.
“AI enables us to use evidential data sets with precision and to help us construct new recipes and nutrition plans, with smart ingredient swaps to target health problems and improve wellbeing, accurately using food as medicine. Artificial intelligence has enabled us to hone this approach and give unrivalled accuracy and results.”

The holistic technology is effectively several apps in one and is personalised and more accurate than rival products, building a health profile using factors like age, gender, sleep patterns, biomarkers and goals to tailor recommendations and it offers lower-friction voice meal logging, with AI breaking down foods into macros and micros.

The app creates goal-led recipes and meal plans, supporting practical meal planning aligned to outcomes, and also offers in-store support, with an ability to scan and decipher barcodes, explaining ingredient labels to help users make better choices in real time.

The global functional food and beverage market is expected to reach $600+ billion by 2030 with 75% of consumers around the globe actively seeking food that supports long-term health.
The intuitive and easy-to-use app can be downloaded via the App Store and Google Play.
Foodhak’s range of functional snacks are also now available through Amazon, Ocado, Planet Organic, Selfridges, Zapp and more than 120 local B2B delis and farm shops.
Foodhak was born out of the lived experience of founder and CEO Sakshi. Diagnosed with a rare liver disease during her pregnancy, Sakshi switched to a diet based on Ayurveda, viewing food as medicine. Sakshi’s switch to an Ayurvedic diet plan supported her treatment, gave her boosted energy and helped her feel better than before.
This experience gave her the idea for Foodhak – a platform to make ‘food as medicine’ accessible for all.
