Hailed as the king of mustards by chefs and foodies alike, since 1777, Grey Poupon has been crafting exceptional mustards fit for royalty. Grey Poupon, the original Dijon mustard, tantalises taste buds with a delightful blend of white wine, creating an unrivalled and authentic flavour experience. With Ruben aiming to create flavours that smack you in the chops it’s a match made in heaven as Grey Poupon is all about inspiring foodies to take a stand against the bland, to be bold, to be fearless and to drive a flavour revolution with their cooking.

Ruben Dawnay rose from the lockdown ashes by setting out to smoke meats and home-cured fish from the garden of his parents’ Brixton abode, which he combines with punchy flavours in impressive dishes like his reuben sandwiches and smoked meat tacos. Paying homage to his Polish-Jewish heritage, Ruben’s Reubens was born and has been a hit ever since.

About Grey Poupon

The Grey-Poupon Moutarde Company Started in 1777. Maurice Grey, an Englishman, teamed up with Auguste Poupon, a Frenchman, and together they formed the Grey Poupon mustard company. Maurice Grey invented a steam-powered machine that would grind the mustard seeds and automate the process – a significant development in the production of mustard. This created a higher-quality and more consistent product. In 1855, Grey Poupon’s founder, Maurice Grey, was awarded a medal for the production of quality mustard. In 1860, he was honoured by a Royal Appointment.
