PAIRING EXQUISITE WHISKIES WITH UNIQUE WOOD FINISHES FOR TRULY DISTINCTIVE DRAMS
Ferg & Harris (www.fergandharris.co.uk) a luxury scotch whisky brand has launched in the UK with two exclusive editions, the Speyside 12-year-old and the Linkwood 12-year-old.
The brand’s aim is to pair exceptional whiskies with unique wood finishes for truly distinctive drams, which taste exceptional. Following the initial launches, the brand aims to release further limited runs throughout the year including a 26-year-old Clynelish Second Fill PX Finish, 14-Year-old Old Pulteney Second Fill PX Finish, 17-Year-old Highland Park Sautern Finish, 26-Year-old Ledaig Oloroso Finish, 30-Year-Old Organic Springbank and a 14-Year-Old Auchentoshan.
Ferg & Harris’ launch is well timed to coincide with the rejuvenation and huge growth of the whisky category: in 2021 whisky was the fastest-growing spirit in the take-home market, shooting up by £154.4m, ahead of vodka, rum and brandy.[1] Ferg & Harris plays into this craft market and the renewed desire from consumers for premium drinks to enjoy at home.
The brand’s Whisky Connoisseur is central to the crafting process, hand-selecting the malts and providing comprehensive tasting notes and advice on how best to enjoy the drink.
The brand is the brainchild and passion project of John Ferguson and Alex Harrison, founders of the Edinburgh bottling company, Young Spirits. The pair decided to combine their expertise, knowledge and access to trusted and experienced distilleries to create the new brand, which is all hand-selected and bottled on-site in Edinburgh. The brand offers a small selection of exciting new whiskies designed to give people an exclusive taste of a unique product. Its products are sold with a boutique, limited run of between 150 and 400 bottles.
