Student accommodation provider Fusion Group has been recognised at the Student Voice Awards 2025 with all of its properties receiving recognition in the ‘Best Student Property’ category across the UK.
Fusion’s Brent Cross Town and Nottingham properties were named the best student accommodations in their regions, while York ranked second and Liverpool third.
The annual awards hosted by StudentCrowd are the only UK accommodation accolades based entirely on verified student reviews, making this recognition voted for by students themselves a particularly meaningful achievement.
This year’s rankings were drawn from over 22,000 verified student reviews submitted on StudentCrowd, evaluating properties across seven key factors such as social spaces, location, facilities, and overall experience. In total, 22,179 reviews were analysed to determine which student accommodations performed consistently the best over the past 12 months.
To qualify for an award, each property needed to have received at least 10 reviews in the last year and be located in a city with five or more eligible properties. Winners were selected based on their exceptional performance across seven categories, each rated out of five stars, making these results a true benchmark of student satisfaction in purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA).
Laura Kurt, Managing Director of Fusion Group, comments:
“These awards are a true testament to the care, design, and community we build into every Fusion property. Our mission has always been to create environments where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally, and being endorsed by authentic student voices just three months after they moved in is incredibly rewarding.”
“We know from our own research just how much a student’s surroundings influence their outcomes. Nine in ten (95 per cent) of students said their living environment was crucial to their academic performance and nearly two-thirds (64 per cent) who lived in PBSA went on to achieve a first-class degree. Features like quiet study areas and thoughtfully designed social spaces were highlighted as key to that success.”
Fusion Group’s award-winning properties combine high-quality, design-led living with a strong sense of community, offering contemporary private and shared spaces, dedicated study zones, social and communal areas, and a range of amenities that support wellbeing, connection, and academic success.
Fusion has become known for redefining what students can expect from PBSA. Its developments are built around sustainability and wellbeing, incorporating energy-efficient design, biophilic elements, and community-led programming that encourages a balanced lifestyle. Each residence is created with student feedback in mind — from the layout of communal kitchens to the design of outdoor areas — ensuring every detail enhances both comfort and connection.
One student review highlighted Brent Cross Town’s exceptional community spaces:
“The social spaces are such a highlight in the accommodation, it allows you to socialise with other people who live here and offers a huge opportunity to meet new people and new friends.”
Another praised Fusion Liverpool for its quality and design:
“By far my favourite student accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. The property and the facilities are so nicely decorated, the beds are comfy, and the rooms are more spacious than normal accommodation.”
