Eliana Shakhani (18) a digital marketing specialist from North London and a semi-finalist in the national beauty contest Miss England, is sponsored by Cetuem Cosmetics.
The young beauty will be taking part in the semi-finals on 11th October, and if successful, will head to the Miss England finals the following month. Should she be crowned Miss England 2026, Eliana will represent England at Miss World, taking place in May 2027, in Tanzania, marking the return of Miss World to Africa for the first time in over 25 years.
Each semi-finalist brings her own story – from charity fundraising and academic achievements to advocacy work and career ambitions. Together, they represent the next generation of strong, driven women making an impact across England.
Eliana’s story

Eliana grew up with scoliosis, a medical condition that involves an abnormal curvature of the spine that sapped her self-confidence and stopped her from wearing high heels. However, with determination, Eliana overcame her embarrassment and entered the beauty contest, showing other girls that bodily imperfection need not stand in the way of achieving one’s dreams.
Cetuem Cosmetics will help to build Eliana’s confidence further ahead of the contest. It will ensure that her complexion is flawless and radiant, giving her the best chance in the fierce competition with a line-up of 35 beauties.
With only a few days ahead of the competition, Eliana came to the North London premises of the Cetuem Clinic, where Andria Vassiliou, co-CEO of Cetuem and a qualified aesthetician, gave her a bespoke facial, as well as the recommended skincare products to take home.
The cosmetics company is no stranger to the Miss England contest – the iconic beauty pageant launched nearly 100 years ago. The company has sponsored a number of contestants as well as Miss England title holders over the years, with NHS doctor Dr Bhasha Mukherjee, a London GP, amongst them.
Giving confidence to the first make-up free contestant

Eliana will not be the first contestant whose self-assurance will be further boosted with the help of Cetuem.
Their multi-award-winning skincare products gave enough confidence to the first Miss Bareface title holder Melisa Raouf in 2022 to enter the pageant make-up free for the first time in the beauty competition’s long history.
Her story was covered by the global media, including CNN and Fox News in the USA, the Australian and Argentinian press, as well as BBC, ITV and Channel 5 News here in the UK.
