Birdies, located at 6 Arches Lane Battersea London, is an all-around brilliant, crazy golf course that promises you rounds of great fun in their uniquely designed golf courses, along with a mouthwatering menu consisting of multiple dishes to choose from.
Starting with the golf courses, at first appearance, it seemed quite laid back and not as intense as the other competitors in London. I found this change of pace to my liking as it was different and gave a relaxing experience. However, the courses did seem a bit confusing in the beginning, but I got accustomed to them quite quickly. The courses were designed intuitively and interestingly and proved to be good fun.
One of the courses was in the dark, and it was difficult to make out the ball in the darkness, but this was part of the charm and made it hilariously fun. Another course seemingly gave you a chance to hit the ball as hard as possible, something I felt you weren’t supposed to do, but my inner child could not resist giving it a go. Believe me when I say it was a very satisfying experience. Overall, the courses proved to be great. It was even the first time I won a game of crazy golf in years!
Coming to the food, Birdies offers a superb selection of tasty street food that compliments your crazy golf adventure. They have two menus, one for adults and one for kids. From their Light Bites & Sharing selection, I choose the buffalo wings and Mac and Cheese Crispy Balls. The wings were good overall. They were served with a blue cheese dip and celery sticks. The crispy balls were the star of the show. These were surprisingly really good, and I would even go back just to eat those again. The grated parmesan and rosemary salt made sure that these threw a flavorful punch.

Their selection of the main entrée included only burgers. They included regular as well as vegan options. I ordered their Cheeky Bacon burger, a beef patty mixed with various sauces and topped with vegetables. It was delicious and filling. The bun could have been crispier, but it was still decent and did not feel like a dealbreaker. For my side, I got the Rosemary French Fries. These were a delight to eat, with the rosemary making them taste nice. They were adequately crispy and nicely salted too. The meal was a great way to end the night after winning in crazy golf!
I was impressed by the lively and enjoyable atmosphere at the bar, largely due to the staff’s enthusiastic participation in singing along to the music. It added a unique and fun element to the experience.
To conclude, I strongly recommend Birdies if you are looking for a place where you could go with your friends or family if you are looking to have a blast while playing crazy golf. The dining environment is pleasant and relaxing. Overall, I had a memorable experience and would visit again.
