The world’s largest trade fair for books, ideas, and intellectual exchange returns this autumn as the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025 (Frankfurter Buchmesse) opens its doors from October 15–19, 2025, at the Frankfurt Exhibition Grounds.
Bringing together publishers, authors, literary agents, and readers from over 100 countries, the Frankfurt Book Fair is once again set to be a vibrant celebration of storytelling, knowledge, and creativity. The event serves as a vital meeting point for the global publishing industry, connecting tradition and innovation across print, digital, and multimedia platforms.
This year’s theme, “”The imagination peoples the air”,” “The keywords imagination, people, and air allude to the elements of the writing and reading context: the producers and receivers of texts; the talent of the idiosyncratic individual who reads and writes; and the community gathered by the air emanating from and animating books”, said Patrick Flores, curator of the Philippine Pavilion.
“The Frankfurt Book Fair has always been more than a trade event; it’s a global conversation,” said Juergen Boos, Director of the Frankfurt Book Fair. “In 2025, we aim to showcase how stories continue to build bridges between people, ideas, and cultures across the world.”

Renowned for its scale, diversity, and influence, the Frankfurt Book Fair is widely regarded as the premier event in the international publishing calendar.
