Respected nationwide home care group, Guardian Angel Carers, rounded off another year of delivering exceptional at-home care support to families around the UK with its much-anticipated annual conference. This was followed by an awards ceremony to recognise colleagues who have gone above and beyond.
Hosted at the Langstone Quays Resort, with its conference facilities inspired by the coastal surroundings on Hayling Island, the event saw franchisees, managers, CareAngels and administrative staff come together for a day and evening of fun, reflection and celebration.
Key Focuses From the Guardian Angel Carers National Conference 2025
The yearly conference is an opportunity for those throughout the Guardian Angel Carers group, alongside suppliers, business partners and others to gather in one place, something important to the home care specialists who regard gratitude, friendship and balance as among the ’10 commandments’ that underpin the business.
Having grown significantly since the home care company was founded by former Olympian Christina Handasyde Dick, MBE, in 2012, there are now 16 individual franchises, in addition to the National Office in Chichester, with locations ranging from Cardiff to York, Bournemouth and Windsor.
This year’s conference focused on learning and education, sharing experiences, challenges, and successes each care team has encountered over the last 12 months, and reflecting on the importance of support for families and individuals in each community.
Guardian Angel Carers also used the conference to share inspiration, insights into plans for 2026 and beyond, and to show appreciation for the partners within the franchise network who have contributed to its ongoing success.
Award Winners Recognised at the November 2025 Guardian Angel Carers Awards
Following the conference, the awards ceremony was an event full of laughter and celebration. Many franchises within the network had been keen to nominate individuals who embody the Guardian Angel Carers ethos and have made remarkable impacts on the lives of both families and colleagues.
One of the big winners, the Eastleigh and Hedge End territory, was delighted to scoop two of the major individual awards. This was alongside being named Franchise of the Year and comes just three years after the franchise was established, a timely moment to appreciate how far the team has come, as it also marks this anniversary. Individual winners included:
- Lynette: Carer of the Year
- Sarah: Office Colleague of the Year
Among other award winners, Sarah from the York branch won the award for the colleague who had most Enriched the Lives of Clients.
She was selected following her compassionate work to support former classical musician Mary Oliver. Sarah ensured Mary’s quality of life was paramount during end-of-life care, arranging special activities including a trip to watch a classical concert and a private tour around Hovingham Hall, where her mother had sung in the choir.
