HOOKED PRESENTS: MR SISTER

These internet sensations, who started creating content on TikTok from home, have come a long way quickly. They finally brought their beloved ‘Puft Mamas’ and ‘Nifty NooNoos’ characters to the stage and they did not disappoint. With over 4 million views online, these ladies know how to make an audience howl with laughter. If you’re a fan of comedy on YouTube, the name Stephen Tries might sound familiar to you. The comedy style of Holly and Brooke is quite similar to his and it’s guaranteed to be a good laugh.

But don’t just take my word for it, see for yourself. Their ‘Work in Progress’ show, ‘Mr Sister’, is a hilarious journey through the ‘vows’ they took to be best friends forever. And trust me, you’ll be hooked on their comedy just like they’re hooked on making you laugh. Their relationship dynamic on stage is so convincing that even I was left wondering if they were sisters or lovers. I suggest you go to their next show to decide for yourself.

It’s great to see them grow so quickly from doing TikTok from home to starting their own show. It’s great to see content creators expanding themselves into different areas to prove that they can do more than just TikTok. The Lion & Unicorn Theatre in Kentish Town was the perfect setting for their debut comedy hour and the crowd was captivated from start to finish. With a spot on the Chortlist! as part of The Comedy Crowd’s Chorts Awards 2022, Holly and Brooke are definitely the ones to watch in the comedy world.

I wish them good luck for their next show at Edinburgh Fringe in 2023. If you missed your chance to see these funny ladies live this time, make sure to keep an eye out for their future performances. Trust me, it will be worth it.
