Twenty years since Killing Kittens first began smashing sexual boundaries and this time it’s all about the boys.
Now iconic, the ‘Kitten’s community has long been a sex-positive sanctuary for women. With the launch of KK Homme, Killing Kittens are turning their attention to men, encouraging them to live their desires and attempting to combat male biphobia.
With over 200,000 members worldwide, ‘KK’ have made a significant mark. Reflecting on how this movement has positively impacted women and their partners,
“Our parties are a place where our members can express their desires and live their authentic sexual selves in ways that are completely liberating for many of them,” says founder Emma Sayle.
While many ‘Kittens’ have discovered their bisexuality in the safe, female-focused space, the question remains, what about the boys?
“While we’re still working on female sexual liberation through the main Killing Kittens brand, it’s time to give the boys some attention too,” Sayle explains.
With male-on-male action, something wasn’t adding up. Despite having a large membership and a popular app (WeAreX), men were shy about exploring their desires with other men. Killing Kittens wanted to create a space specifically for them.

Killing Kittens was founded on values of privacy, safety, empowerment, and community, making it the powerhouse it is today. However, a new space was needed for men to explore their sexuality without inhibition. Enter KK Homme.
A quick survey on the Killing Kittens app (WeAreX) revealed that male members didn’t feel completely comfortable experimenting with each other at existing KK events.
Members requested gay-male focused and bi-specific events and shared their concerns about traditional gay spaces – from safety and privacy, to drugs and even exclusionary reception to bi men. “A lot of the bigger gay club nights go heavy on the masc wordplay and imagery, which can be intimidating for many men we’re trying to reach,” notes Sayle.
Research shows a significant difference in how men present their sexuality publicly versus privately.
Our survey found that while 65% of respondents identified as straight publicly, only 13% did so privately, with 79% withholding their true sexuality.
A Pew study has also revealed that just 12% of bisexual men are ‘out,’ compared to 96% of gay men and around a third of bisexual women.
Another 2023 US study reported a tripling of self-reported bisexuality in men and women since the 90s. While female bisexuality is now accepted, male bisexuality remains somewhat taboo.
“Privacy is critical – our events ensure guests’ privacy is respected, unlike some parties where filming has become an issue.”
One surveyed member pointed to the lack of a moniker for men in the ‘Kittens’ movement. “We didn’t want to call it something too ‘scene’ and we didn’t want to muddy the waters with our existing events. That’s when we realised we were creating somewhere that men could go for the ‘KK’ experience – KK Homme was born.”
With KK Homme, Killing Kittens aims to expand their movement for sexual liberation while maintaining the core values that make it special. It offers a space for bi and gay men (as well as transmasc men, and non-binary people) to enjoy intimacy and conversation through safe, private exploration.
Sayle highlights that homo- and bi-phobic stigma often leads ‘straight’ men to engage in riskier sexual behaviours.
“When tested, they might report their behaviour as ‘MSM’ rather than identifying their sexuality. We know from our research that MSM men face higher risks.” This growing audience, out or not, is one KK Homme aims to support.
“With KK Homme, we want to do for [gay and bisexual] men what we’ve done for women. Create a safe space where they can go to learn about themselves, away from shame, stigma, and judgement.”
KK Homme is where everyone can be their most authentic selves. The main play space will be Homme for men only, a realm where desires run free and the night takes on a life of its own. For couples (men, women and all genders), a more intimate area awaits, perfect for shared moments of passion and exploration.
Everyone is welcome in the glamorous social spaces, where they can mix and mingle with their partners and friends of all genders, soaking in the fabulous energy of the night.
Taking over the decks will be none other than the incomparable Raven Mandella —a legendary name in the global club scene. With his infectious mix of disco and house beats, he’ll light up the room with bold energy that will have you dancing until dawn. Trust us—you don’t want to miss this.
