Located in the heart of London, at Ludgate Hill, the Lost Property is unlike any you have ever seen. It is a first-class modern, stylish hotel that promises a wonderful experience for tourists and business travelers. It is situated next to the famous St. Paul’s Cathedral. It is an iconic monument and was the tallest building in the city at one time. The hotel prides itself on showing and presenting the history of the local area in which it is established.
The Lost Property is also very well located in the Centre of London. Your able to walk to many of the most exciting landmarks in London such as the London Eye along Southbank, Tower of London and Borough Market next to The Shard. The hotel is also right next to two train stations, City Thameslink which can get you to Gatwick and Luton on a direct train and St Paul’s Underground station to get you anywhere in London.
The moment I stepped into the Lost Property, I was immediately taken aback by the stunning Murano glass chandeliers, which hung from the ceiling in the reception and restaurant. The intricate details of the chandeliers, coupled with the warm light it emitted, gave the hotel a sense of grandeur and elegance. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the art installations throughout the hotel added a unique touch of character. Rani Ahluwalia was the mastermind behind this luxurious design, carefully selecting and placing every item to create a truly magical atmosphere. Everywhere I looked I was met with a captivating array of trinkets and antiques, each with its own story to tell.
Six floors all the way to the St Paul’s Junior Suite. You will find whatever you need available, including various charging ports as well as amenities. For our tech readers, they also have a modern 55-inch TV which is rare to see nowadays, perfect to watch late night movies after a long day. The bathrooms are well designed, very clean and having a lovely walk-in shower which I personally love!
The Lost Property features a restaurant and bar which will satisfy all your hunger cravings. There is also a big Breakfast Buffet to enjoy downstairs, with a selection of cooked & continental foods. For those who forgot to charge your phone in the morning, they’ve cleverly places sockets under the big table in the dining area to charge your phone whilst enjoying your breakfast. The restaurant and bar features an extensive menu with a wide variety of drink options. The interior is quite attractive and features delicate glass structures. The staff is accommodating and ready to serve and assist you, and the waiter was more than happy to explain the menu and recommend his favorite dishes.
My dinner experience started with the Classic Steak Tartare, which was soft, juicy, and full of flavor with just the right amount of seasoning. The beef was tender and was cooked and textured perfectly. The presentation was phenomenal, with the tartare perfectly shaped. I would highly recommend this as a starter. For the main entrée, I chose the Honey Roasted Duck Breast served with a side of crispy chips. The meat was juicy, savory. The honey glaze on the duck was a nice balance of sweet and salty which I found delicious. The accompanying vegetables were a great side and were served with a rich and creamy sauce. Finally, for dessert, I had the chocolate fondant. It was a delightful end to the meal, with a delicious chocolate center that oozed out with every bite. It was served with ice cream that perfectly complemented the fondant.
Overall, my dining experience at The Lost Property was fantastic. The food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was great, with soft music playing in the background, and the décor was unique and gave a warm vibe. I would recommend The Lost Property to anyone looking for a unique living experience and a delicious dining experience in the Centre of London.
