On September 15th, Seduction – a bold new original podcast from Bud Rebel Productions – debuts exclusively on Spotify, promising listeners a gripping journey through passion, power, and peril. With a star-studded cast and a taut, emotionally charged storyline, Seduction is poised to make waves in the growing world of audio dramas.
Headlining the five-episode series is Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts, alongside Paola Paulin (HBO Ballers) and Russell Todd (Friday the 13th Part 2), who lead a talented ensemble cast through a tale that examines the darkest corners of human desire. Produced by Mikaela Phillips, Jack Cook, Bud Rebel, Alex Karagianis and co-Producer Hope Ayiyi, the podcast is also a co-production with Illusion Islands, blending rich storytelling with cinematic sound design.
At its core, Seduction is a psychological thriller wrapped in a moral dilemma. The story centres on Tony, a man caught in the monotony of everyday life until he meets Maria, whose arrival ignites a spark that quickly turns into a wildfire. As their connection deepens, the line between love and lust becomes dangerously thin, forcing Tony into a spiral where every choice carries devastating consequences.
“Seduction is a gripping tale of morality tested by passion,” says Bud, the creator behind the project. “It’s about how one decision – one moment of surrender – can shift the entire trajectory of a person’s life.”
Each of the five episodes runs around ten minutes, a format designed for quick consumption whether listening in your car, at the gym or home.
Behind the scenes, Bud describes the production as nothing short of electric. On what the collaboration was like with cast and producers, he said
“The collaboration was honestly so much F-U-N. We not only shared the work but also our own life stories along the path.”
Producer Mikaela Phillips added,
“There are a lot of podcasts that sound the same… from the start, we knew this had to hit different. It’s bold, it’s complicated, and at times a little unorthodox exploring the complexities of this story’s characters’ morals and choices. It was a pleasure to be brought on to produce and oversee its creative overhaul – from reformatting the structure to days in studio recording the episodes with our wonderful cast. I think I speak for everyone when I say, we’re excited for audiences to listen.”
With anticipation building, one question looms: Is there more to come?
Bud offers a tantalizing tease.
“If the demand is there, we will produce it- and trust me, it will be even more twisted.” He also hints at an even bigger leap: “As for terms of a film adaption, we are currently in negotiations on this possible project.”
