This month DF Tacos is making a statement with the launch of its fresh, unconventional take on tacos. Forget the standard fillings and traditional Mexican flavours – DF brings inventive combinations in utterly delicious tortillas which are sure to shake up London’s taco scene.
Launching on September 2nd, DF is introducing a fresh lineup of fully loaded, flavour-packed tacos during a two-week soft launch, offering all tacos at 50% off until September 15th. With options like Chicken Tikka, Tamari Pork Belly, Dr. Sting’s Hot Honey Buttermilk Chicken, and Korean Fried Tofu with homemade kimchi, these aren’t just tacos – they’re a bold reimagining that tips a hat to Mexican traditions while completely ripping up the taco rule book.
A totally new take on tacos
DF is all about defying expectations and rethinking what a taco can be, through crafting bold and delicious flavours that push conventional boundaries and are perfect for washing down with its signature £5 frozen margs and freshly shaken cocktails.
Every taco at DF is wrapped in an artisanal tortilla from Masafina, a West London-based startup dedicated to premium ingredients and sustainable sourcing. And for those looking for a lighter option, every taco can be served in a crisp lettuce leaf, offering a fresh take on the taco experience.
DF’s signature tacos with a twist

Kicking things off is the Hot Honey Chicken (£5.50) which packs in crispy buttermilk chicken alongside crunchy chip sticks, zesty slaw and pink pickled onions – finished with a sweet but spicy dash of Dr. Sting’s small-batch hot honey for a moreish, punchy plate.
Next up is the Tikka Taco (£5.75) where Mexican and Asian ingredients, including grilled Tikka chicken, Masala sauce, creamy MexRaita, buttery rice and Thai basil, come together for a full flavour, cross-continental, taste sensation.
For something rich and indulgent, the Tamari Pork Belly (£6.00) brings together slow-cooked, free range pork belly which is then topped with tamari and chipotle agave and served with diced onion and sesame slaw in one of DF’s top-notch tortillas. A stand-out favourite among DF’s chefs.
The Fish ‘N Chips (£5.50) brings a British classic to the fold, usually to be found wrapped in newspaper but now in a tasty flour tortilla, with crispy battered sustainable pollock, mini fries, tartare sauce, and chipotle mayo. Seafood stans will also want to visit the Prawn Shop (£5.50), where responsibly sourced butterflied panko prawns meet chipotle honey, jalapeño mayo, sesame slaw, and pink pickled onions.
Burger fans aren’t left out either. The Smashburger (£6.00) features a smashed beef patty topped with DF queso sauce, house pickles, burger sauce, shredded lettuce, and American mustard – wrapped in a tortilla instead of a bun. And for the truly adventurous, the Yum Bug Burger (£5.50) switches out beef for a sustainable and surprisingly delicious cricket patty.
And, of course, there are some awesome new tacos for veggies and vegans to get their teeth into – Gimme, Chimi, Cauli with oven-roasted cauliflower, fresh chimichurri and refried British carlin peas (£5.00), Korean Fried Tofu with smoky BBQ sauce, DF kimchi and sweet daikon pickle (£5.00) and The Shroom – oven-roasted ancho mushrooms with feta, habanero toasted pumpkin seed mayo and sesame slaw (£5.50).

Beyond the tacos
Taco fans can round out their meal with generous sharers and sides, such as Fully-loaded Nachos (£11.75) featuring house cut corn tortilla chips smothered in juicy beef brisket, cheese sauce, fresh chimichurri, salsa fresca, crema, pickled jalapeños, and smoky meco

and tomatillo salsas. And don’t miss DF’s signature Crinkle-cut Fries (from £3.75), available plain or topped with cheese sauce, chili salt or chipotle mayo.
Of course, it’s not just about the food – DF’s menu pairs perfectly with both its freshly-shaken margaritas and house cocktails (from £6.75) as well as its all day, every day £5 frozen margaritas in Classic, Berry & Hibiscus and Passion Fruit. At just a fiver, these are without a doubt the best value margs in town!
A word from the chef
DF’s Head Chef Leo da Cruz said: “We’ve gone beyond Mexico with our new tacos. The tried and tested fillings that are al
ready found elsewhere in the UK are great, but we wanted to push ourselves further to create some amazing new flavours never tasted in London’
s tacos before. We’re super excited and can’t wait for taco fans to get stuck in.”
DF Tacos’ menu is available now at its restaurants in Shoreditch and on Tottenham Court Road, as well at its Market Halls locations – Victoria, Oxford Street and Canary Wharf.
