Engaging with customers is vital for companies to succeed, with there being a wealth of ways to do this. WhatsApp has quickly become one of the most important. It’s used by over 175 million people to contact a business every day, with 68% of users of the messaging app saying it’s the easiest way to contact a company.
It’s surpassed multiple social media platforms in that regard. Approximately 65% of people are more confident using WhatsApp instead of email. It leads to better engagement rates between businesses and their customers.
This doesn’t just focus on customers contacting companies to make complaints or bring up issues, however. It’s also an effective sales vehicle. A whopping 40 million people use WhatsApp to view products every month, making it one of the most popular platforms to use to view products.
The increased visibility on the platform also leads to conversions. After using a messaging app, 75% of people purchase a product almost directly after a conversation.
This increased importance hasn’t gone unnoticed among businesses. It’s estimated they’ll spend a combined $3.6 billion on the platform in 2024, leading to greater revenues. That’s a massive increase from the $1.2 billion in revenue WhatsApp brought in for companies in 2021 alone.
Businesses starting off with the platform could see a 27% average increase in sales, thanks in large part to the improved response times and similar factors.
