The world’s leading premium mixer brand, Fever-Tree has collaborated with Diageo’s best-selling Scotch whiskey, Johnnie Walker, at Bar 31 this winter – Shangri-La The Shard
The bar’s main attraction is its amazing terrace, where you can meet for drinks and food, and it is a great spot to unwind after a long workday. Bar 31 also offers food and snacks to go alongside your choice of drinks. The collaboration event will take place until the end of the year, so you will have ample time to enjoy warm winter cocktails and many different types of mixes from Fever-Tree.
The full Bar 31 Highball Collection consists of:
- Johnnie & Ginger (50ml Johnnie Walker Black Label, paired with Fever-Tree Ginger Ale)
- Johnnie & White Grape Highball (50ml Johnnie Walker Black Label, paired with Fever-Tree White Grape & Apricot Soda)
- Johnnie & Lemonade (50ml Johnnie Walker Black Label, paired with Fever-Tree Lemonade)
- Ketel One Vodka & Italian Blood Orange (50ml Ketel One vodka, paired with Fever-Tree Italian Blood Orange Soda)
- Tanqueray London Dry G&T (50ml Tanqueray Gin with Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water)
The launch event on the 16th November was jam-packed with fun, and the bar was themed with Christmas decorations. There was a Christmas carol that was singing by the beautifully lit tree, and fake snow was flying outside. The arrangements were perfect and got you anticipating the oncoming Christmas season. There were also small festive snacks along with the drinks, including but not limited to Christmas mini-cakes!
The collaboration offers several highball drinks, one of which is the Johnnie & Lemonade, which pairs a 50ml Johnnie Walker Black Label with Fever-Tree Lemonade. It provides a zesty kick to your tastebuds and leaves you feeling refreshed. The Johnnie & White Grape Highball is a mixture of the Johnnie Walker and Fever-Tree’s White Grape Apricot Soda. The white grape base complements the sweet apricot quite well, and the black label enhances the flavor.
Other drinks options include the Johnny & Ginger (my personal favourite), which has a Johnnie Walker paired with ginger ale, Ketel One Vodka & Italian Blood Orange, and the Tanqueray London Dry G&T, which is a mixture of gin and Indian tonic water. The drink pairings are a match made in heaven and go perfectly with each other.
These key drinks are the highlight of the event partnership between Johnnie Walker and Fever-Tree and are a testament to the greatness that can be achieved by joining forces. Indeed, all of them proved to be refreshing as well as great in taste. After all when 3/4 of your drink is the mixer, mix with the best, Fever-Tree!
