Pet owners in Wembley Park got together at the weekend for the inaugural Quintain Living Halloween Pet Parade. The event was organised by Quintain Living, the award-winning management company overseeing the rental of more than 3,250 apartments in Wembley Park – exclusively for their four-legged residents and their owners.

The Halloween Pet Parade featured a range of exciting, bespoke costumes. Elmo the French bulldog sported a Chucky costume, Lucy the Golden Retriever came dressed as a bumble-bee and Charlie the Dalmation was a double-take for Paw Patrol’s Marshall, earning him the title of Best Dressed according to the votes of the judging panel.

A total of 40 dogs and over 70 human residents attended the paw-some event.
Strictly’s Neil Jones – a Quintain Living resident, the proud owner of dogs Crumble & Chorizo and member of the Halloween Pet Parade judging panel – commented:
“What an awesome day! Residents created some fabulous costumes for their pets and as a dog owner and Quintain Living resident myself, it was such a pleasure to see everyone having so much fun. Congratulations to Charlie the Dalmation and to all those who took part and made the day such a sociable and fun-filled community event.”

Love Island’s Chyna Mills, Neil Jones’ girlfriend and fellow animal lover, also attended and co-hosted the event.

Parade participants were each awarded with a goody bag containing a selection of pet-friendly Halloween treats, dental-friendly chew toys and organic dog food. The top three parade winners romped home with a reward of The Cuddle Club gift vouchers to use in the new Wembley Park store opening next month, with their human companions also receiving a range of special prizes.

In addition to the parade, which was inspired by New York’s famous annual Tompkins Square Dog Run Parade, human residents enjoyed a selection of food and drink supplied by the local independent coffee house, Out of Office. Four-legged attendees were also well catered for on the food and beverage front including puppuccinos.
Non-pet owners were also welcomed to the friendly Quintain Living resident event, with community members taking the chance to get to know the team from The Cuddle Club. An established service, The Cuddle Club provides ‘dog therapy’ sessions for office staff across London and the South East. Having chosen Wembley Park as its first bricks-and-mortar location, opening soon, The Cuddle Club will also offer grooming and spa treatments for furry visitors and neighbourhood residents, dog day-care, walking services and a range of items for purchase, including pet toys, treats and accessories.
“It was so much fun to see our residents and their pets come together at the Halloween Pet Parade. It was great to see so many pets and their owners making new friends and creating happy memories together, as well as enjoying the music, food and photo opportunities that were such a successful part of the day.”

The event took place in the Festival Gardens at The Robinson, one of Quintain Living’s nine developments at Wembley Park, known for its colourful design and quirky shared social spaces. The Festival Gardens encompass a peace garden inspired by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, an outdoor kitchen and dining area that feels like the Mad Hatter’s tea party in Alice in Wonderland, an extensive dog run and a lawn area dotted with brightly striped deck chairs – as well as, yesterday, with pets parading in their glorious outfits.
The wider Wembley Park neighbourhood also has plenty to offer when it comes to supporting pet owners. London Designer Outlet is dog-friendly, with water bowls dotted around, and treats on hand at Guest Services for well-behaved pooches who deserve a reward. There is also a large dog run within the lush greenery of Elvin Gardens. Over in Union Park South, meanwhile, a new secure area where dogs can happily romp lead-free will soon be open to welcome furry visitors.
