Mollie’s Motel & Diner Oxfordshire Review

Mollie’s Motel & Diner Oxfordshire Review

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mollie’s Motel & Diner in Oxford and was thoroughly impressed with my experience.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the staff who were incredibly attentive and made sure that every aspect of my stay was taken care of. The lobby at Mollie’s was inviting and comfortable, with guests using it as a communal living space, relaxing on the cozy chairs and tables. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, explaining the amenities and services available, including the convenient use of their app to open my room door. Overall, the welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service at Mollie’s made for a truly enjoyable stay.

The small touches at Mollie’s made a big impact on my stay. Upon entering my room, I was greeted with a warm welcome package that included one of my favorite chocolate bars. These small gestures, though not necessary, go a long way in making a guest feel special and appreciated. Mollie’s definitely exceeded my expectations in this regard, making my stay even more memorable.

My room was spotless and had a fresh, clean feel to it. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a TV that allowed guests to cast shows from their phone, a useful feature given our dependence on phones. The shower had good water pressure and the sink, located in a small hallway outside the bathroom, did not detract from my experience. The hotel provided fast and reliable internet access, which is a must-have for a pleasant stay. For those who own an electric car, there is an added bonus of being able to charge it using the Mollie’s App, a convenient feature. The hotel places great emphasis on sustainability, with hot and cold water taps in the hallway to reduce electrical waste. The utilities, such as the Dyson hair dryer and hair straighteners, were of great quality and an added bonus for those who use them. This demonstrates the hotel’s commitment to the environment and guests’ needs, which I greatly appreciated.

The diner at Mollie’s exceeded my expectations. The restaurant serves American-style food, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the dishes. I started with nachos with beef chili, which was a generous portion and packed with flavor. For my main, I had a half rack of ribs with bbq sauce that fell right off the bone. The ribs were cooked perfectly, and the bbq sauce was delicious. For dessert, I had an Oreo milkshake and a cookie dough cookie with a scoop of ice cream and caramel drizzled on top, the perfect ending to my meal. The decor of the restaurant really felt like you were in a typical American diner, which was cool and fun if you’re looking for that added experience. And in addition to that, the hotel also has a drive-thru restaurant, which I found to be rather convenient if your on the move.

The breakfast the next morning was also delicious. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from, and I ended up having a big waffle with bacon and eggs with maple syrup and their famous hash browns. The waffle was fluffy and the bacon and eggs were cooked nicely. The hash browns were crispy and was a nice change from the usual frozen ones I have at home.

Overall, my stay at Mollie’s Motel & Diner was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The food was delicious and the hotel’s sustainable practices made me feel good about my stay. The hotel is conveniently located on the A420, making it a great base for exploring the countryside and Oxford. I highly recommend Mollie’s Motel & Diner to anyone looking for a comfortable, sustainable stay in Oxfordshire.
