Nobu Hotel Shoreditch
Situated inside the first Nobu Hotel in London is the famous Nobu restaurant located in Shoreditch consisting of the renowned Nobu menu, which iconic Chef Nobu Matsuhisa developed from the influence of his extensive travels and years spent studying Japanese cuisine in Tokyo. This art was perfected, and Chef Nobu now has a series of Nobu-style restaurants across the globe.
The wide-ranging appreciation of flavours gave rise to Nobu’s distinctive “Nobu Style,” which is present on all Nobu menus in the world. The Nobu menu is broken down into two parts. The first is the classic dishes that have been a part of the Nobu experience since its beginning, and the second is the dishes that are local to the area the restaurant is located in. These regional dishes are made with a combination of local ingredients available in the area and the Nobu traditions. Likewise, along with traditional dishes, Nobu Shoreditch offers special dishes inspired by local cuisine. The restaurant room, which was created with the famous Nobu aesthetics at its core, exudes a vibrant but timeless vitality unique to the Nobu brand.
Stepping into the restaurant, you can feel the expensive vibe that it emits. Rich oak wood in various grain patterns is used throughout the room’s interior.
The staff members at the restaurant gave a warm welcome and showed their hospitality by taking our coats and giving a premium experience. Throughout our stay, they were very polite and helpful and were quick to respond to any queries. I went for their weekend brunch, which includes a main dish and unlimited access to the brunch and dessert bars for 2 hours from the time of your reservation.
The main attraction was the huge brunch bar. It consisted of multiple assortments of dishes for you to feast on, including a selection of assorted sushi, sashimi, and plenty more. The sushi was excellent, and I heartily indulged in it. I made sure to try out everything the brunch bar had to offer. I can assure you every item on the menu was excellent. The choices for the main entrée were also very well selected and did not disappoint.
While the restaurant is on the luxury side, it is a standout experience of fine dining, and both the food and the interior décor give you a sense of splendour. If you find yourself fascinated by the Japanese culture, style of cuisine and enjoy eating Japanese dishes like sushi and sashimi, you absolutely must give Nobu restaurants a try.
