Market Root, London’s biggest Korean creatives market, will return to Copeland Park in Peckham on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August 2026, bringing together 60 independent artists, makers and food businesses under one roof to celebrate the creativity and diversity that the community has to offer.

This curated, design-focused market will showcase fashion, accessories, jewellery, skincare, ceramics, homeware and illustrations, alongside Korean food, desserts and drinks.
Visitors will also be able to explore contemporary installations created by emerging Korean artists, participate in interactive workshops and creative experiences, and relax in their dedicated food and beverage lounge.
Many vendors will use the event to introduce exclusive product launches and limited-edition pieces and collections that will only be available during the weekend.
Last year’s Market Root event in Peckham welcomed approximately 1,800 visitors in just one weekend, showcasing the success of the market. Now, the theme of the new edition of Market Root is “Breaking Away, You Are Detected”, encouraging participating creatives to step beyond their usual work, experiment with new ideas and showcase something visitors have not seen from them before.

Market Root was founded in 2024 by Hyeon Ju “Jules” Kim and Soo Jin Yang, the creatives behind London-based accessories brand Hobul Studio. What began as a small creative gathering has since developed into one of London’s most prominent platforms for Korean and international independent talent.
Jules and Soo said:
“When we started Market Root in 2024, it came from conversations we were having with other creatives who wanted better spaces to showcase their work. Two years later, Market Root has grown far beyond what we initially imagined. ‘Breaking Away’ feels like the perfect theme because it gives our vendors the freedom to take risks, try something different and introduce a new side of their artistic practice.
“We want visitors to leave having discovered a designer, artist, maker or flavour they had never encountered before, while also feeling part of the creative community that has grown around Market Root.”
