Olympia nursery completes major refurbishment

Press Release
Olympia nursery completes major refurbishment

Families in Hammersmith and Fulham are being invited to explore the newly refurbished Monkey Puzzle Olympia nursery, following an official ribbon-cutting ceremony last month.

Located at 1 Springvale Terrace, the nursery – formerly known as Monkey Puzzle West Kensington – has been part of the local area, serving families since 2012. Nursery manager Shivani DeHaney has years of experience in early years education and is passionate about supporting local families and creating meaningful connections with the local community.

For Shivani, Monkey Puzzle Olympia’s refurb is a real standout. “The transformation has been incredible. Even though we have the same team as before, it feels like a fresh start for the nursery and has created a beautiful, welcoming environment for children, families and staff, opening up doors for everyone to achieve more!”

The refurbished nursery offers a warm and welcoming space, with two gardens – a premium offering in the west of London – a dedicated babies’ room, toddler room and preschool space. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, Monkey Puzzle Olympia continues its legacy of providing high-quality childcare for local families.

“We’ve created a real home-from-home feel where children feel comfortable, confident and excited to explore,” added Shivani.

“It’s so important to us that every family feels welcomed and reassured from the moment they walk through our doors.”

The nursery’s design was also created with the Curiosity Approach in mind, an early years education approach giving children more opportunities to explore, discover and learn through play.

“We’re embedding this approach in everything we do at the nursery,” continued Shivani.

“It’s all in aid of encouraging children’s natural curiosity and love of learning which will set them up for success as they develop.”

Being situated in London’s largest French community, Monkey Puzzle Olympia is introducing French lessons as an extracurricular activity – another example of the nursery’s deeply local roots.

“We’re really excited about the future and becoming even more involved here in Hammersmith and Fulham,” said Shivani.

“We want Monkey Puzzle Olympia to be a place that supports not only children, but families, staff and the wider community too.”
