The autistic doodler from Hanwell London

The autistic doodler from Hanwell London

His early doodlers were Jon Burgerman, Keith Haring and Picasso

My early doodles evolved from traffic light-like creatures into doodle characters in large collages, often with local Ealing references. One of my more recent collage doodles is called Feelings, a collage of emotive faces. More recent work includes Mr. Autism and Spikey Mikey, both characters that seem to connect with people of all ages.

After leaving college and completing an internship in 2023 that included a short time at The Cartoon Museum, I am now looking for any opportunities doing the art I love. For me, “It’s the doodles that matter”.

And I just love doodling and I will keep on doodling and drawing until the end because I just love doing it and I just doodle every single day.

Since then, Alex has dedicated himself to his craft, working under the name *Alexthedoodler*. He shares his work online and continues to build his style, staying true to what he loves: bold lines, imaginative forms, and the freedom to create without limits.

“Doodling lets me be myself without rules or expectations,” he says. “Every drawing is a piece of me.”

But Alex isn’t just drawing for fun anymore—he’s chasing a dream.

“I want to be a full-time artist. I want to have my own studio one day, maybe even inspire the next generation of doodlers like Jon inspired me.”

With his passion, persistence, and unique voice, Alex Walton is well on his way.

“I’ll be doodling and drawing for the rest of my life,” he says. “And I won’t stop until I’m a name people recognise. This is only the beginning.”
